This entry-level course introduces the essential concepts of music production, including audio post-production, mixing, recording, synthesizers, and file management. Students will gain hands-on experience working with Pro Tools, learning how to use its stock plugins to build a solid foundation in sound creation, editing, and mixing techniques.
No prior experience is required. This course is designed for beginners, so if you’ve never worked with audio production software or have little to no experience in audio mixing or recording, we’ll start with the basics. We’ll guide you through the fundamentals, ensuring you have the necessary knowledge to succeed.
To get the most out of this course, you’ll need a MacBook Pro and mixing headphones (closed-back or open-back options). An iLok is also required to manage Pro Tools licenses, and a MIDI keyboard is optional but recommended to enhance your music production experience.
